Students Sought For Amateur Radio Class
An Amateur Radio Training Class and Technician Class License Course has been scheduled and students are now encouraged to register.
Presented by Hoosier Lakes Radio Club, the class will teach about amateur radio being the backup communications system for all emergencies in the U.S. However, all amateur radio operators must be licensed and this upcoming class will provide licensing for successful candidates.
Amateur radio is a very enjoyable hobby with a serious side. This class will prepare you for the license test and you will be able to join others in the world of amateur radio.
Registration and the $30 fee is due by March 15. The fee includes the book, supplies and lunch for the classes, scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26-27. Orientation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon March 22 and books will be handed out at that time. Both the orientation and the classes will be held in the Kosciusko County Justice Building.
