UPDATE: Bomb Threat Suspect Arrested
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department detectives arrested Walter Glasgow, 53, in connection with a bomb threat made Monday afternoon.
Approximately 1:13 p.m. yesterday, a 911 dispatcher received a call from an individual, identified today as Glasgow, who made a threat directed toward the New Paris area. The call was non-specific and general in nature and authorities said there was no evidence the threat was credible.
Today, police say Glasgow threatened to plant a bomb in the New Paris area. Glasgow, of 66300 U.S. 33, Goshen, was arrested at his home just before 3 p.m. He is charged with a Class D felony count of false reporting.
Though the investigation revealed no actual threat to the community, the ECSK takes a strong stance in holding those accountable for making false threats that disrupt the community and its resources.
