May Is Mental Health Month
May is Mental Health Month is observed nationwide by organizations dedicated to mental health-related issues. According to Mental Health America, the observance began in 1949. This year’s theme is “Mind Your Health.”
According to the Mental Health America website, “Our goals are to build public recognition about the importance of mental health to overall health and wellness; inform people of the ways that the mind and body interact with each other; and provide tips and tools for taking positive actions to protect mental health and promote whole health.
At The Bowen Center, literature on mental health issues is available at any of The Center’s 11 clinical locations in 10 Northern Indiana counties (Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, Wabash and Whitley) as well as on The Center’s website at www.bowencenter.org
