Huge Turnout For KREMC Annual Meeting
A record breaking crowd of approximately 1,700 Kosciusko REMC members and their families filled Warsaw Community Church on Saturday, April 26, for the electric cooperative’s 75th Annual Meeting. The primary item on the agenda was the election of directors. Terry Bouse and Rick Parker were re-elected while Steve Miner won the seat left open by retiring director, Tom Shively.
KREMC board chairman, William Stump Jr. started the business meeting by giving special recognition to our county’s veterans. KREMC president and CEO, Bruce Goslee gave tribute to the members, directors and employees who helped to shape Kosciusko REMC into the successful electric cooperative that is it today. Also during the meeting, Terry Bouse the board secretary/treasurer gave the 2013 financial report, highlighting that KREMC is ranked in the top 4 percent of co-ops nationally at managing local costs.
Members were entertained by the “West Central Quartet” a jazz band from Fort Wayne. The children’s program featured the “Amazing Animals Show” from the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, a craft area, face painting and caricaturist drawings.
“We appreciate the great number of members who attended the annual meeting and who help to keep this long-standing co-op tradition alive,” said Goslee.
