Local Nurse Deploying With Red Cross
Mary Hoffer, Kosciusko County Red Cross disaster volunteer, will depart today on her fourth deployment to aid families impacted by the devastating storms in Arkansas.
Hoffer, who also serves locally as the Red Cross State Nursing Liaison for Indiana, will be stationed in Little Rock, where she will serve two weeks as a Client Health Services Associate.
Over the past week, storms have left a wide swath of damage, devastation and despair from the Great Plains to the Gulf Coast and across the Mid-Atlantic. The Red Cross has been there every day to help – and their work is really just beginning.
This weekend, the Red Cross will be out in neighborhoods in Arkansas handing out relief supplies like rakes, shovels, mops and trash bags to help people clean up debris. In the days ahead, the Red Cross will also be working with local community partners to provide additional services to help families get back on their feet and begin to recover.
Donations made to disaster relief services helps the American Red Cross carry out their humanitarian mission. For more information, visit www.redcross.org or text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10.
Thank you, in advance.
