Alaska Air Buys Virgin For $2 Billion
SEATTLE — Alaska Air announced a deal Monday, April 4, to acquire Virgin America, the ninth-largest U.S. airline by passenger traffic, for more than $2 billion, having outbid JetBlue Airways.
