NOTRE DAME — Seeking a fresh start, a 30-something single mother arrives with her son — an awkward teenager and botany enthusiast — in Crested Butte, Colo., home of the Wildflower Festival. Over the course of one turbulent summer, their lives become entwined with those of a local forest ranger, a precocious teenaged girl and a retired drag queen.
